Let’s Talk About CoolSculpting vs Exilis

When it comes to non-invasive body contouring, CoolSculpting and Exilis are two of the most popular treatments available. At Precision Aesthetics in New York City, we help you understand the differences between these innovative technologies so you can choose the best option for your body goals.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a fat-reduction treatment that uses cryolipolysis, or fat-freezing technology, to target and eliminate stubborn fat cells. The frozen fat cells are naturally eliminated by the body over time, resulting in a slimmer, more contoured appearance.

Key Benefits of CoolSculpting

• Targets localized fat deposits
• Non-surgical with no downtime
• Effective for areas like the abdomen, thighs, and arms
• Permanent fat reduction in treated areas

What Is Exilis?

Exilis is a versatile treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound energy to tighten skin and reduce fat. Unlike CoolSculpting, Exilis addresses multiple concerns, including skin laxity and fine lines, making it a comprehensive option for body contouring and skin rejuvenation.

Key Benefits of Exilis

• Tightens skin and reduces wrinkles
• Targets fat while improving skin elasticity
• Safe for all skin types and body areas
• Non-invasive with no downtime

The New York Post recently shared an article titled New York Post Today side-effect-can-turn-your-fat-into-a-tumor (their words, not mine), still reporting the risks associated with certain CoolSculpting. Their words not mine. But the craziest part is Exilis or any of the radio frequency or ultrasound treatments can melt fat safely with the side effect of smoother tighter skin for less money.

When Coolsculpting works, you will get more loose skin because it merely kills fat cells. It doesnt tighten the skin like radio frequency does. We brought the first Exilis to New York in 2009. Dr Zdinak was lecturing in Europe at an Anti Aging Show and we met the President of BTL who after seeing our expertise tasked us with bringing his first device to New York.

Sadly they dont market the device. We have dozens of loyal clients who absolutely love it. We get calls once a month from Europeans who are completely puzzled why it is so rare in the US. They absolutely love their treatment. Oh little secret. They are limiting the heat on the device because they dont trust the med spas to deliver a safe treatment. Since we have the European model we can deliver a more effective treatment. Which we have 15 years experience doing. Its not an easy treatment to deliver. Perhaps that is why it is not marketed heavily compared to Emsculpt which is a true crowd pleaser. Everyone wants to show off a six pack. No one is going to show you a before and after of fat. Many of our best clients will literally tone muscle, melt fat and tighten skin in the same area for the best possible results. You will never see those photos. They would never allow photos. Not even for medical records.

The Bottom Line

If you’re considering body contouring, it’s essential to choose a treatment that works safely and effectively. With 15 years of experience, we’ve seen firsthand how Exilis provides unmatched results when delivered correctly. And for those who want to take it a step further, combining it with Emsculpt offers a truly transformative experience.
