Non-surgical skin tightening is a term to describe the use of medical devices that tighten the existing collagen in the skin using a heat source instead of a scalpel. The heat source used by most devices is either a laser or, radiofrequency (radio waves) that pass through the superficial skin-layer to reach the target dermal depth where the collagen is created and maintained.
